Pottstown Third-Graders Take One-Way Street to Safety

POTTSTOWN, PA - Classmates at Lincoln Elementary School in Pottstown recently participated in "Traffic Safety Town," a program designed to teach students to obey traffic rules. By moving around a large map spread out on the school playground, kids learned about adhering to road signs and traffic signals and how to cross streets at crosswalks. Students clearly enjoyed the presentation as they moved around the map and simulated driving cars and riding bikes.

POTTSTOWN, PA - Lincoln Elementary students took safety to the streets Friday as part of a traffic demonstration. Communities in Motion, a foundation of the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association, used a miniature road layout to teach children traffic safety rules. The constructed layout included street lines, traffic signs and a stop light. The Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation awarded the transportation association with a grant so they could provide a presentation called Traffic Safety Town to all third-grade students in the Pottstown School District.
Communities in Motion Celebrates 2015 Bike to Work Challenge

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - Communities in Motion, a GVF TMA Foundation, in partnership with the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) celebrates the 2015 Bike to Work Challenge accomplishments. This year over 570 riders participated in the challenge, a 52 percent increase from last year’s Challenge, and traveled over 296,00miles in just 153 days!

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - Communities in Motion, a GVF TMA Foundation, hosted its 5th Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Spring Hollow Golf Club. Despite the rainy weather, close to 60 golfers from many local engineering firms, corporations and government sectors attended to support the foundation and play 18 challenging holes of golf.
